Since yesterday...yep, since yesterday...

"
There's snow falling to the ground. It's December. Cold, cold December, with Christmas right before us, but with no joy, no smiles, not like the previous perfect times. There's the fire in the chimney, still blazing its usual red and golden flames, unaffected. The fire burns my face, but I'm cold, so cold. Outside, the earth is my witness; it's frozen, crystals scattered in the grass.
