The Ten Commandments

The Ten Commandments

A Poem by Fictionborn

I am the Lord thy God, to whom you wake

Thou shalt have no other gods, for those are forces of evil

No graven images or likenesses, praising a false world

Thou shalt not name thy Lord in vain, or misfortune shall befall

Remember the sabbath day, of no labor sound

Honour thy father and thy mother, fit to see you born

Thou shalt not kill, or thou shalt drown in a pool of shame

Thou shalt not commit adultery, the terrible lie to God's bond

Thou shalt not steal, from the weeping man

Nor bear false witness, how astonished thou may be

And thou shalt not covet; Such is the Lord's Path
