Tragic is The Girl In Black

Tragic is The Girl In Black

A Poem by guy drori

  Tragic

is the girl in black--

the reason for her darkness

and cause of utter wrack.

She fears the morning light--

knowing merely night.

Her inner-demons -- self-destructive--

never could she fight.

She is a spider

in the corner--

wishes to become a bird.

Oh, but how absurd!

She wouldn't know to fly

even if she'd try.

Subconsciously

she weaves her webs

of poison and deceit.

Inner-voices-- devils--

wishes to defeat.

Positive her family

love her wrongly so,

for all she brings upon her land

is acid rain

and snow.

"Kill me!" Yells the girl

in black--

tragic

is her life.

All around her hold a spoon-

solely she a knife.

Even darkness cannot just exist in the shadows. Thriving on pain is merely a habit macabre cries for help eventually we all need that light. Great piece. R xo

Thank you for the review. And I agree, even the darkest ones seek light one way or another
Black is what it is, a cloak to hide the insecurity of life.
But even this girl wants the light to shine upon her.
Is it to late. Who knows.

and yet deep inside she is crying out for someone to see the positives in her, what she has to offer...
she seems to thrive on pain...like someone i know well...but there is a heart that wants to be freed...wants to be noticed for what she can give---

a dark journey here, but i see someone who really wants to get to the light...

some seek attention by being macabre...but the inner voice is crying for help...for a light.

Beautiful. Just beautiful.

Inner demons are always the hardest to fight. You want to stop the endless cycle, but you never quite know how to escape from its clutches.

Wow! Hauntingly beautiful!
Loved the eloquent flow and vivid imagery, so very much.
Last stanza is plain awesome!

PS: in second stanza, third line, I feel that you meant 'her' instead of 'he'.
