Perfect.
I remember in the movie, The Last Samurai, Katsumoto was fascinated with the cherry blossom...I loved this quote: The perfect blossom is a rare thing. You could spend your life looking for one, and it would not be a wasted life. And at the end of his life...he realized there is no one perfect blossom...they are all perfect. That is what your poem reminds me of. :)

I am glad this poem reminded you of it . . . and I appreciate the review :)
This is beautiful and says a lot but I also wonder what you could do with a few more syllables. It stands wonderfully as it is though. It always amazes me how much can be said with just a few well chosen words.

One can do a lot with more syllables, yet as you probably noticed this is a Haiku, so it cannot contain further syllables than it already does.
I really liked girl in black, and temporary beauty is a perfect concept for a haiku,
that being said, every syllable counts in a haiku and (in my opinion) "a plant that" adds no meaning.
I wonder what more you could add with three new syllables.

You are right, every word counts and not only in Haikus but in every poem. I might re-read it and see if there is something I can do about it :)
What is life without art? I've been writing since I was 8 years old, and it is my main passion. I love inspiring other people & being inspired by others. Nothing is more satisfying than finishing a ma.. more..
