Glamorous Hell

Glamorous Hell

A Poem by guy drori

Fame
she hadn't sought--
and often thought
of swallowing
the inexpensive pills
she bought.

Acting is her love
and that she had pursued--
thinking not in restaurants
she'll never eat again
in peace.

Every act recorded--
expectations high.
At night when silence reigns
releases she a cry.

Everywhere she goes
a blinding flash or yell.
She claims she'd rather
no one be
than a somebody in hell.

Hell often finds the famous and the hounding never ceases... while I believe a person who enters the public world as any kind of performer, knows what they are getting into, I do think that they should be left alone when not doing scheduled interviews...i have come to despise the paparazzi and those who stalk and harass celebrities... this is a great write, Guy... well-done
