Duffy Doodle Woopy Doo!

I'm sick 

inside my brain.

I often go insane.

duffy

doodle

woopy doo!

naked under winter rain.

I'm sick

inside my brain--

having thoughts 

that no one should.

Normal I would choose to be

only if I could.

I'm sick

inside my brain--

committing acts I shan't.

try to fight compulsions;

come 

on . . .

No! 

I simply I can't!

Born I was

with this disease,

yet ever

will it cease?

For doors

that lead to happiness

not I have the keys.

And it gets awful enough when one is ridiculed for being so. Well, isn't it because of the people like us that some branches of medicine are flourishing in the world? This writing so realistic.

Yes, because of diseases the medical world is also learning new things and developing but in this poem I did not refer to the disease in the literal sense.

Thanks for your comment! Yes you're right, sometimes internal battles are the hardest to fight. Often we think that our minds have turned on us on some level for not "siding" with our needs. I guess it's a constant battle for all of us on some degree
