Candle

Let your soul be like a candle

That handles strong emotions

Let the bright light untangle

The nods of your notions

Allow its simplicity

To light up your space

Be humble and infinitely

Present and safe

Let yourself not be deceived

By the size of its flame

Remember, it is pure heat

Loving energy from the realms

Your tiny little light

Is a sign of glory

Shining through the night

Writing your story

The secret is to strive

At the top of the wick

Offer light while you shine

Burning off the past

Melting away the wax

That is no longer a need

There is no end, but restart

As you reach the bottom, belated

The smoke of your pure heart

Is missed by all of those you illuminated

Lovely. I use to watch the flame of a candle dance as I went to sleep and this reminds me of that; a beautiful memory for me.
I don't usually like rhyming poems, I think they're over rated and mostly lazy, but you're is just enough that it adds to it rather than taking away :) Very nice.
