Calling

Calling

A Poem by Drew

what is it that you want from me?

debating whether or not to let you be

i know your there, are you unaware?

these days have left me lost

i become aware of my actions and their cost

i know your there, are you aware?

i constantly think of you

do you think of me too?

are these all in all feelings we share?

life could be so much easier

if we didn't have labyrinths to our hearts

we have the keys

we just don't know the way

still i sit here

wondering if i should be there

talking to you, or go to dreaming of you

that friendship we had

the one with which, i was actually glad

did you feel the same? why do you feel shame?

how can it anger you?

knowing that i will always be here

lending a helping hand

instead of turning my back to you

always hear

never not near

i won't leave

like everyone else has

i won't point the finger of blame

and step away because of your shame

everyone does something of which they're unproud

so why must you suffer the ultimate, when everyone else is forgiven

we were once one

split in two

what have we come too

i think, that i will go too you

i think, i will give it another day

sleep is important right now

but regret is the pain of later
