Oasis

Oasis

A Poem by Drew

Like an island in an ocean

The sun in the sky

The Pope in the vadican

Or the soldier left to die

An oasis in a desert

you are all too unique

from my body hurt

to happiness at it's peak

you are the only one

who has ever made me happy

you stand alone

in the world that's meant for me

never will i find

one more perfect for me

i am alone confined

until each other is seen clearly

you stand isolated

as one that understands me

your own life complicated

but i can see

together our troubles disappear

like the light when the sun sets

the happiness that we share

amounts to more than all the worlds debts

You can rest assured

our lifes together god insists

not being with you is absurd

because deserts never become forrests
