Autism

A Poem by Gummybear lover

My tongue is tied and I can not speak The words won't come out
The words stay inside
Like a bee in a hive
The only words that come out are lalala and tatata
One day I will speak
I may never be free from this disease
It haunts me day and night
I don't have a mind my own age
I feel like I'm in a cage
I can hear them but they can't her me
Frustration is the only thing that speaks
One day I will reach my peak
One day I will speak
No more Tatata and lalala
It will be I love you and you love me
One day I will speak
Day by day frustration goes away
My day gets brighter
My tongue got untied
Words come out I love you
I can finally speak
One day I will speak and that day is today.

I don't have autism this is about my little brother... I have watched him struggle how whole life trying to tell us what's wrong and he can't I wrote this the way I know he would. My brother use to be able to talk when he was around 3 then all of sudden something happened and he couldn't talk he made noises that weren't normal he was telling us stuff through his sounds... Over time you just know what he means by his sounds.. I have watched my brother grow now he is 7 and still can't speak but he says more sounds that are close to words that we would say... He said love to me for the first time not to long ago and I cried... He still has more mountains to climb but he will get there and I have faith in him that he will talk.

Autism is something you deal with daily. And to give a glance of it to other people,to let them know what is going on in your head is a gift to society.

I have experince with autism because of my niece and I can honestly say this poem touched me so much.

Keep me informed!

A battle and a struggle..a tough position.
Fighting the fight is all part of life.
Enjoyed the description.
