Patience

Patience

A Poem by Giulia King

She felt an unease heaviness in the wind.
"You're just another let down.
Another chapter full of mistakes."
Some people are novels,
the world will never get tired of reading, she thought.
He said she seemed like an old soul,
She told him she was just swoon by the moon.
Her eyes downcast and brimming,
With a broken voice she asked Time how long
it would take for him to put the pieces of her broken heart together.
"Patience, my loved one" said time,
"I'll teach you".
"I'm not everyone's cup of tea.
I don't connect to other souls easily."
She said as she put her hands on her face and started sobbing.
"Maybe life is this luxurious thing that is not meant for the weak-minded.
Un stimulated souls that are not entwined are unhappy."
She looked up at the starry night, tears rolling down her cheeks.
"Sometimes we create our own heartbreaks through expectation." Said Time
and laid a comforting hand on her shoulder.
Letting her know that she'll never be alone, whatever may come.

"You're just another let down.
Another chapter full of mistakes."

"Sometimes we create our own heartbreaks through expectation."

My favorite parts, even though i loved the whole thing!

I agree with your writing when you compared people with novels or books, everyone has his or her own story in life, everyone can be read like an open book or en epic novel.

You did a great job writing this one, thanks for sharing :)

I love the reference people are like novels, read again and again...this ads a very lyrical sense to life...if we'd switch as an observer, i wonder how would our life look like? Loved the depth of this.Lovely done :)

A amazing story written in the poem dear Gullia.
"Sometimes we create our own heartbreaks through expectation." Said Time
and laid a comforting hand on her shoulder.
Letting her know that she'll never be alone, whatever may come."
I did like the above lines. You left the reader with some hope. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

it is said that patience is a virtue and time heals all wounds. good things come to those who wait.
psalm 30:5, "weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning."

we all struggle with waiting. "There is no value in life except what you choose to place upon it and no happiness in any place except what you bring to it yourself."

a great personification of 'patience' Gullia. cool pic.
