Broken Pieces

Broken Pieces

A Poem by Giulia King

When I asked her:
"What's your inspiration?"

She answered with tears in her eyes:
"The broken pieces of my heart."

She sits with the pieces scattered before her, ponders the time it will take to ever get them placed just right...she turns her face to the sun and smiles...it doesnt really matter..for love will hold her together until she succeeds... Thank you for the inspiration Gullia King

Easier to sit in silence.
Better to try.

It seems you chose to try.

Good choice.

Brilliant.
Sometimes I wish the answer would be not the pieces of a broken heart,
but a heart full filled with happiness.

Can't wait to read more of your work :)

This is really great. It presents the idea of preserving our own hearts through expression. In the author's note, it is good to see that you will keep writing. So it is always good to keep a few broken pieces in your pocket at least.
