A whisper In The Wind

A whisper In The Wind

A Poem by Giulia King

As she watches the clouds soar across the pink sky.
A light breeze goes through her hair.
Leaving her breathless.
"I miss you," she finally breathes out.
"Colorful life, take me away.
Lift me up from the depth of my soul.
Take me to a beautiful place where the moon smiles
and a galaxy of stars are in your eyes." She whispers.
As she closes her eyes,
she feels the wind whisper back to her.
"Follow the voice of your own heart.
Even if it leads you off the path of finding yourself
In due time, you will find yourself,
as well as the other missing piece of your heart."
She gives the sky a shy smile.
. . .
She feels the sun rays on her face,
a new day started to dawn.
Another beautiful day to be a victim of her own daydreams.
Beautiful, but annihilating.

Beautifully penned, Gullia. This was quite a refreshing and soothing one to read. The way you describe things is really interesting and makes the readers to contemplate on their own emotions.
Wonderful imagery.
Well done.

Hi
I like it, but it seems there is a disconnect here that I can't quite put my finger on. The contrast seems too stark between the first and second sections. I get I think that it's supposed to be that way, but it seems there should be more explanation, more transition maybe.

Thank you, Matt! I'm going to look into it :)
I enjoyed this one. philosophical but still very visual. I loved how you have said that in due time, everyone will be able to find themselves, that is very true.

Oh, wow! A million thanks! Your words put a big smile on my face, thank you so much for that :)
It's wonderful to look at the sky and feel the sun rays on your face and the breeze caressing your hair.
One should definitely follow the voice of ones heart.
Nice to read your work.

Indeed! Thank you, Shabeeh :)
Who hasn't felt those invigorating rays in the morning and been glad to be alive?
I love the delightful vignette of the conversation with the wind - it felt very ephemeral and supernatural.
Well penned Gullia.

Best feeling ever! :) Thank you, TJ! :)
Powerful and amazing use of words.
"Follow the voice of your own heart. Even if it leads you off the path of finding yourself.
In due time, you will find yourself, as well as the other missing piece of your heart."
The above lines. True wisdom shared. Thank you Gullia for sharing the amazing poetry.
