My Tired HeartA Poem by Giulia KingFrank Sinatra - I've got you under my skin, starts to play. As we slow dance into infinity, I look into your eyes and realize they're my favorite color. I shake my head and close my eyes. Suddenly it all made sense. When my eyes met his, I realized that forever was never going to be enough with him.
As I open them up I realize I'm alone in the dark. It's always about you, you know. The daydreams, a hundred tiny daydreams about you, about us.
I find myself getting lost with you in a world that doesn't even exist.
You're everything to me, the only star that remains brighter than others. Being without you is pure darkness, I suppose it will all make sense someday. My intuition is telling me there will be better days. Until then I will keep on dancing, perfecting my curves and moves.
Hear me, my tired heart, Some things never change and that's the beauty of the world. After all it's true, I've got you under my skin. . . . © 2017 Giulia KingAuthor's Note
