The Most Delicate Rose

The Most Delicate Rose

A Poem by Giulia King

"You deserve to be with someone who makes you happy."
The earth started to shake.
"You're the one that makes me happy", she said with a trembling voice.

"I lost myself somewhere in your eyes, a sky full of stars.
You're the most delicate rose in my life, but that rose doesn't open up anymore."
He said, with tears in his eyes.

She felt misunderstood and lonely.
No one understands her mind.
No one understands her deepest and darkest secrets.
No one thinks as deeply as she does, this will always be her tragedy.
They misunderstood the most beautiful part of her body.

She looks at him as a stranger.
A million thoughts and memories of them are scored in her mind.
All that is left is this goodbye.

"I will always love you", he said.
"You're the type of girl I will always have a thing for."
He turned his back against her and walked out.
As the door closed she collapsed on the floor with her hands on her face.

She cried until there were no more tears left.
We're made out of stars.
A sense of acceptance washes over her and she started to
pick up the broken pieces of her heart.
Still mourning over what they could have been.

My goodness it's so intense piece! "She cried untill there are no more tears left"
Just reflects the image of what exactly she's going through.
Great scribble Giullia!

Gullia King,
"The Most Delicate Rose" is a tribute to the mind's place in our relationships; particularly when misunderstood in what is hoped, being love.
How often does someone see something in the eyes of another, only to discover the one loved does not see-share the same. So misunderstood!
"No one understands her mind..on one understands her deepest and darkest secrets..no one thinks as deeply as she does, this will always be her greatest tragedy..They misunderstood the most beautiful part of her body."
Love is all about this part of all of us; our mind, our heart, our soul; intertwined somehow. Tenuous and sensitive but also our glory.
Beautiful poem all the way around housed within love's loss.
Blessings to you,
Kathy

Gullia,
A moving piece. Your words translate to what many of us have felt. This writing stirs up old feelings of pain and heartache, put away but never forgotten.

Hi
You had some solid metaphors here. My reading left the protagonist and antagonist as somewhat ambiguous. It's an interesting paradox feeling never understood as something that will always happen and yet still mourning over what could have been. It's sad like it was defeated before it even started.

So deep...
it's like... it's like... I m unable to say the exact point... it's so much relatable to me.. I'm glad I came across this poetry... latr night scribble you say... night is the best time to sit and write peacefully... so nice thoughts emerged here... words a bit perplexed makes the reader curious and interested.... Keep writing late night scribbles... you do it nicely... I too have a habit of writing at night... Don't know why, but I think my poems themselves come out like kinda ghost...!!!

Thank you! I really appreciate it
A heart-shaking drama, written with feeling and such a sense of occasion! Guys are such cads when it comes to pulling out on a girl (relationship interruptus? lol). 'You're a beautiful rose that I can't smell any more' !! I was intrigued about the most beautiful part of her body.... and struck by the phrase 'acceptance washes over her'.

Your writing is smooth and beautiful. Sheer pleasure.
