You execute "fully" - pouring until the last drop has dripped. This makes reading your work quite fulfilling; satisfying to read. For a shorter piece - this is perfect. A job well done. You seem to have a fine eye.
I like the title as well. I have a piece with the same title.
Sad to hear the label of a monotonous and grey world, but nice to find and recognize color. This write shows poetic contrast and whimsical hope. Thanks.
your prose reminds me of a superior spiritual being on Earth and struggling to find some goodness that is redeeming ..not finding any life is anguish for such a being ... but i am also reminded of the power of our mind and eternal soul ... only inhibited by our selves .. i saw a comment you made on one of Valentines poems and thought your avatar was intriguing so i am visiting .. tho we do not know each other ;} hope that ok!

Gullia King,
A good note you left here; very helpful. I could admire you forever; that is saying a lot. Being a blank slate is an interesting state to be in but you have given it a really creative edge. Colors in the world ..light up you life; the filling and brightening. Not even a color ...describe depth. So much more to explain! This is a poem where I am watching the artist creating. It is amazing to see you bring it about in words! Very cool! Blessings Kathy
I think each of us sees the one we love as a blank canvas who we ourselves want to paint..finding joy in the thought that the colours we paint them with are ours to keep and ultimately them..
This is a good piece! I can derive so many meanings from it! Loved reading this!☺

I appreciate your review on my piece, Yumna! Thank you so much :)
so astral in depth and romantic in thought, I like how the poem states exactly what the poet is thinking, the meaning to me, describes classic, innocent, starry admiration, lovely work here.

I feel drawn to the idea of the blank canvas that cries out for colour. How wonderful to be described as one with an imagination that 'can't be trapped i this monotonous and grey world'.
I love to connect with those who have vivid imaginations and, for me, the world of poetry is a world of the imagination. All things are possible within it, and when two imaginations meet and fuse, it is like the pleasure of love-making, taking each onto a heavenly plane of emotion and vibrant experience.
must consider this poetry one of my fav. not 'cause it's written by "Gullia" but it's well flourished by the innocence of your thoughts. romance. love. faith... and priorities of desperate hearts'.. everything have you swiftly licked deep down in squirted words. choice of words's so mesmerizing as well. liked the given line:
"You're like a blank canvas,
desperate to find some colors in the world that might light up your life... "
such a perfect glamour of god's own creation have you filtered here in such textures of... "canvas'. nicely done. perfectly inked!
