Tornado

Tornado

A Poem by GuinessGirl

The whisking breeze blows by thoughts
Uncontrollable to me. I try to catch
Them as they fly, but they move
Too fast; not for me. Maybe
Someday I could under-
Stand how they work,
But for now all I
Can do is sit,
And
 Wait.

It's not a real tornado, but an analogy and comparison to fleeting and swirling thoughts! I like it, the form does it justice, as I can relate to having thoughts blow all around but never quite catch their meaning. Often times we do just have to sit and wait till everything settles.

Great Poem!
Nature's Essence

I liked your poem, although I think that it is missing a little in the areas of the tornados' wrath. You should mention that, it gives no account of the storms' destructivity (aprat from 'uncontrollable'). One tends to run, or hide, not sit/wait for a storm.
Otherwise nice piece. I especially liked the shape that the poem has taken...It is a style of poetry but I'm afriad that I've forgotton the name.
I liked the 2nd and 3rd line - they paint a pretty picture.
