SomedayA Poem by Artiste de MotsBe careful what you say. Words go a long way, and someday, it'll go too far.
Yes, I cry
But I built a wall It's fragile Be careful Don't touch it Or the world will go wrong Someday, when I hold that blade I'll push a little harder And it'll go in It will hurt But everything will feel alright Again and again Someday, when it's dinnertime I'll skip it Then breakfast, lunch And dinner again I'll feel thinner and it'll be okay The habit, there to stay Someday, when my hands grasp my throat I'll push a little harder Until I make myself choke But in that moment it'll at last be fine No breath to breathe No need for reason or rhyme Someday, when I stand on the edge of that cliff I'll lean forward A little more than I should I'll plummet to the rocks And I'll never stop That is, until there's nowhere to drop Someday, you'll realize it's all your fault You murdered that little girl With your petty insults Your cruel voice Your thoughts and ideas absurd Don't be the reason she makes that awful choice © 2013 Artiste de MotsAuthor's Note
