"The Find"A Story by JoshA small piece of about discovery and the wonders of dinosaur bones...something simple and fun.Near cliff, above the sun, in the dirt, a dull curve breaks the dirt pile before me, I in low spirits brighten by this new finding, the first to surface since the months previous. All that has disappeared returns, and the hopes of finding the big one break new ground, and a true possibility in this desolate landscape, that has taunted me long and far. A dull grey that holds my attention, so small and embedded in the sandstone ground, the final leg of this journey is within sight, The goal set, a footnote from deep within my mind. Across the desert land, the bone is shipped, within the lab it is to wait, the stories locked within, awaiting, their stories yet to tell. © 2008 Josh |
