It's brilliant - absolutely brilliant. Weren't you wanting to say more . . . ? I can sense a deeper connection somewhere . . . somewhere in the dirt . . . Did Calvin, the equivalent of your inner child, get high on dirt? Or is it the other kind of dirt? double meanings? . . . I see . . . (if you could see me now I am nodding and smiling in approval of your ability to reach so deeply into your innerhoodismness . . .)
Thanks Brianna, it actually occurred innocently enough at my 8 year old son's baseball game. I'm an assistant coach and we were having the toughest time getting the kids to pay attention. Nothing worked. They were transfixed by the dirt; kicking it, throwing it, digging at it, letting it slip through their fingers ... all while balls came whizzing by. I finally came up with a slogan and made them chant it: 'if you're looking at dirt, you're going to get hurt.' Didn't help. So finally in exhaustion, I whispered in the head coach's ear; "dirt is the opiate of the small child."
Forget all the stuff I said earlier about deeper reviews. This is GREAT! :)
