A Chapter by Guavaguy

A young man looks through a scrying pool
At a fish creature raping a beautiful brown haired wood sprite.
The young man weeps voilently,
So that the scrying pool is ruined by his salty tears.
Around him is an ancient temple
With everything from a painted ceiling to stained glass windows.
An old man in a sage's robes approaches the young man.
He puts his hand on his shoulder,
Comforting him.`
Not a word is exchanged between the two.
The old man takes the young man's hand,
They do this every day.
Together they depart the temple and walk slowly through an ever shifting expanse
Of stars and planets.
As they walk, one star is bigger than the others.
A big flaming ball of red,
Not unlike the sun.
But it is bigger and brighter,
Eight times greater and filled with light.
The flaming ball of light is now below the two.
The old man beckons and the young man nods.
Together, they jump from the rainbow walkway to a firy cremation below.
No one hears anything for just a moment,
And then the flaming ball explodes,
And darkness consumes the immediate surroundings.
The only thing that can be perceived in the darkness is an ocean of stars:
As far as the eyes can see.
