Voices in the Dark

Voices in the Dark

A Chapter by Guavaguy

In a hall of mirrors I see phantoms of my greatest fears.
Ghostly illusions and echoes of the deceased.
I don't know which way to turn,
I'm so confused and there is no way out.
The world is spinning now,
Like a hand on a clock.
Suddenly I awaken,
And Dagoth is in front of me.
I draw my sword and thrust but he evaporates into smoke;
A funhouse phantom,
Disorienting me.
I close my eyes and grope for a door,
Any door.
For a long time I am lost in darkness,
Too afraid to open my eyes.
But I find the door and open it,
And I draw my sword,
Dagoth does the same;
And suddenly, a war has begun in the heavens.
