Tears

Tears fall

As I stand over the body

This was someone I had known

This was someone I had loved

Had known

Had loved

Not anymore

On the body I find a signet

It has strange markings on it

Two lines up and down

An eye on either side

Wide eyed like a fish

I take the signet to the sprite mother

Far advanced in wisdom and years

But she has not seen it

Never

So my tears fall and fall

I cannot stay here

There is no one for me

I have to search for my beloved's killers

I have to hunt them down

Slay every last one

In my head there is laughter

I have never heard such laughter

In my mind's eye

I see a creature

A fish man

Standing over a woman

In her eyes are pain

Tears fall as she is raped again and again

Without mercy

Without salvation

She is the servant eternal of that creature
