Revelation

Revelation

A Poem by GuardianZack

I find myself with loss for words
In the presence of a mockingbird
A charm it is, three times the third
Silent echoes never heard.

Listen now, to emptiness
The shadow of your selfishness
A cry for help in my distress
A test of more- and nothing less.

The faulty heartbeat is to blame
In vanity, a pointless game
The last time that I call your name
And life will never be the same.

Blank stares and a lifeless dream
As things are never what they seem
And after, down the face they stream
A tear is all that's left agleam.

The shining sky grows dim with hate
The end has come, and it's too late
Your sheltered life, too void to sate
The hunger of a timeless fate.

Hear now the gears scream as they churn
The hourglass, one final turn
Memories like paper burn
And once again, to ash, return.

About
Humanity as a whole seems to be falling apart. We live in a world where people generally just don't care anymore. People always see the need for change, but never do anything about it; Change has to b.. more..
