Chapter Two

Chapter Two

A Chapter by Griffin

I was sitting in Vauxhall's Dominatrix Club enjoying the view of a
small Asian lady torturing a big muscular man who was chained to the
floor.
It was all an act of course. The public didn't want real torture; they
wouldn't know what to do with it. They wanted the leather and chains
with the illusion of danger without really dealing with it.
The real deal was in the back, but I hadn't been invited yet. So I
waited.
I was sitting against the wall holding a glass of straight vodka. I couldn't drink it
but I wanted it for show.
I was not dressed to match the club wearing my shorts and t-shirt but I wanted
to stand out so the boys would notice me.
Two employees were talking to each other softly and glancing at me.
They were both dressed in expensive looking suites with ice blue ties.
Their black hair was jelled back. They were wearing sunglasses. One
was slightly taller than the other. It was Alva and Set, two brothers.
I smiled at them.
They started walking over.
I set my glass down on a table and grinned when they stopped in front
of me. "Well hello boys. How's it going?"
"What are you doing here Danny?" the shorter one, Set, asked coolly.
I shrugged. "Masochist, remember?"
"Cut the s**t. What do you want?"
I sighed. "You guys are no fun. Well I wanna talk to Vaux." "no" they
said simultaneously.
The two seemed to have heat radiating off of them. The energy was
slightly discomforting. I tried not to show it.
"awww why you gotta be like that?" I said pouting slightly. The effect
made me look extremely sexy.
They didn't care.
"Honestly after last time you were here we should just kick you out."
Alva spat angrily. "What? The boy said he wanted me to beat him so I
did." I smiled. "We are in a dominatrix club" "you almost killed him!"
"oh come on. He liked it!" "You had no right" "yeah you weren't even in
the back." "Well now you know when I come to a dominatrix club I want
the real thing." I began to twirl my hair. "So can I please go to the
back room? I promise I'll be good"
"Bullshit!" "Good doesn't exist in your repertoire." "So then I'll fit
right in"
Silence.
They exchanged a look and then Set smiled. His teeth were jagged.
"Fine we'll take you to the back" "yay!" "But you can't see Vaux
unless she requests you" I smiled. "Lead on boys"
They did.

The back room was dark and hot. There was real torture going on here.
Screams and moans could be heard over the deep house music. This room
seemed to be alive. The walls tremored with the beat almost like it was breathing
and the humidity radiating from the place was slightly unnerving.
Back here everyone's glamour disappeared. The boy's skin had a reddish
tint to it. They pushed up their glasses to look at me. Their eyes
were burning a deep crimson. Vauxhall's was run by demons.
I relaxed myself. "We'll tell Vaux you're here" Alva said coolly, "but
no promises."
They smiled at me and then walked away disappearing behind a steel
door.
I propped my feet up on a table ordered a drink of liar AB. It was
delicious. And as I sat there sipping the blood, I began to wonder what
kind of man Mr. Allen Smith was. Was he a masochist or a sadist? If I
could figure that out then maybe Id figure out his game. You could learn a lot
about a person based off of their preferences.
Masochists were the type of people who, even if they acted like boss, secretly
wanted to be told what to do. They wanted to be dominated and over run. It was
like a game almost. How much can you make me do?
Sadists on the other hand were the exact opposite. No matter how polite they were
they ultimately always wanted to be in control. They would panic if they were
put in the other position. They needed the control, the power. They needed to know
they were better then you. In their mind, fooling you would be the game.
A thin man walked over to the table smiling suggestively at me. I smiled back and raised an eyebrow. He took it as an invitation and sat down across from me.
"Can I buy you a drink?" He asked in an almost cliché manner. I laughed. "No thanks
I got my own right here" He nodded though he looked slightly disappointed. He looked at my glass and grinned. "A vampire hunh?"
I smiled. "Your point would be…?" "You'd be a sadist then correct?" I looked up at the couple on stage. "Not necessarily." "Oh you go either way then?" I looked at him.
"Conversation starter? Really?" He looked sheepish. "Sorry it's just ya know, we are in a Dominatrix club"
I looked at him. "Tell me are you a regular here?" He nodded. "What are you?" He laughed. "You can't tell?" I shrugged. "Maybe I do maybe I don't" He grinned obviously pleased with himself. "No names first?" I smiled. "Danny Griffin, and you?" "Malachi Beck" He kissed my hand delicately. His lips were cool and gentle. "And I'm a sorcerer"
I smiled at him. "Then you'd be the sadist correct?" He laughed. "Maybe I am. Maybe I'm not" I laughed slightly.
He was tall and thin with messy blonde hair. He had bright blue eyes and a crooked smile. He was wearing a black suit with the shirt unbuttoned a few.
"Can I ask you something Malachi?" I asked smiling suggestively at him. He grinned. "Anything babe" I pulled out the ID of Mr. Allen Smith. He looked at it. "Have you seen him around?" "What? Is he an old boyfriend or something?" He said jokingly as he took the ID from my hands. I laughed. "Hardly. He was my meal this morning." Malachi looked at me surprised and then his smile widened. "Yes Ive seen him around. He's normally with some small blonde vampire. She's about five feet and has huge b***s" "That would be Diamond" I said nodding. "Do you know why he was always in here?" He shrugged. "Something to do with Vaux, but I'm not sure what" I nodded and put the ID back in my pocket.
"Why'd you want to know?" He asked curiously. I sighed. "He was involved in the theft of my property" He nodded. "So you ate him for breakfast?" He joked smiling. His eyes glinted. I laughed. "I suppose I did" He laughed too. "Perfectly understandable"
I set my half finished drink on the table. "You can buy me a drink if you'd like Malachi"
His smile widened. "Really? What would ya like? Anything it's on me" "Anything? That's twice you've said that to me this evening." I teased.
He ran his fingers through his hair smiling a wolfish grin. "Well what can I say? I find you extremely mesmerizing." I leaned back in my seat and crossed my legs.
"Well in that case I'd like a glass of Royal's" He raised an eyebrow and walked up to the bar. Royal's was an extremely expensive brand of blood created with the mixed variation of royalty. It was one of the better glasses you could get.
Malachi walked over to the table holding two glasses. One was a filled with a very dark thick looking liquid and the other looked like a dirty martini. He handed me the Royals.
"Girl you know how to pick em" I raised my eyebrows. "I wanted to see how much you really meant anything" He smiled and took a drink never taking his eyes off of me.
I drank my glass happily. I hadn't had Royals in such a long time. I had almost forgotten just how good it was. The warm liquid slipped down my throat and calmed me down.
I watched the room vibrate for a moment. It was still buzzing with activity. The dim lights really added to the scene.  I still couldn't shake the feeling that something was weird with the building. The walls trembled and shook with the dancers on the floor. The humidity was almost unbearable. But it wasn't B.O. it was something else that was causing it.
Malachi was watching me. "What is it Danny?" he asked sounding interested. I looked at him and shook my head. "Nothing" He smiled slightly. "It's the building right?" he said speaking softer. I looked at him surprised and nodded.
He smiled. "I figured you'd be one to notice. Not everyone does though" "What is it?" He smiled. "You know Vauxhall's is run by demons right?" I nodded. "Of course. Ive met Vaux quite a few times." He nodded looking impressed. "Doesn't surprise me"
I smiled slightly and took another gulp of my drink.
"The building isn't what it seems" "What is it?" "You know the saying 'in the belly of the beast'?" I looked at him wide eyed. "No way." He smiled. "Interesting don't you think?" "Um wow. That is uhh interesting." I looked at the walls oddly, suddenly completely uncomfortable.
He laughed. "Yeah its takes some time to get used to the idea of actually being inside something" "what is it?" He shrugged. "Damned if I know" he said finishing his drink.
I cupped my glass and stared at the last sip at the bottom of it thinking deeply about Mr Allen Smith, Diamond and Vaux.
"Yo Danny" I looked up to see the demon brothers from earlier standing by Malachi. "New friend?" Alva said smiling showing off his jagged teeth. I smiled. "Ah hello boys" "I'd be careful with this one if I were you" Set said poking Malachi on the arm. He simply sighed. "He can be quite a handful"
I laughed. "Oh don't worry about me. I'm a big girl" Malachi smiled crookedly.
"Vaux will see you now" I smiled and finished my drink. I stood up. "Thanks for the drink Malachi." I said smiling. He looked disappointed. I smiled. "559-6321" He looked extremely happy. "Cell? Or home?" he asked grinning. "Cell"
I turned back to face the demon brothers. "Shall we?" I asked grinning. The smiled at me coolly. "we shall"
