Irony in JudgementA Poem by GuanaritoJust a little poem about inconsistencies I see in modern culture. This idea that we are all equal and that only God can judge us is one I still struggle with. I am truly sorry if this offends.
Tell me that I cannot judge someone else,
Rather its God's will I look unto myself, Tell me I cannot disrupt divine will, Tell that to the men that smile as they kill, To say I can't decide if a life is worth living, All the killers and takers are they as forgiving? Hitler and Stalin, Mandela and Ghandi, Should they all be equal? Divine will implying, I must treat all others as if they are good, I cannot be living in such shadowed falsehoods, In this day in age I can choose for myself, The people that hurt others deserve no such help, I refuse to believe that the men who bring peace, Are the same as the ones that ruin the Middle East, I cannot accept that the good and the evil, Are truly the same, all noble, all equal, Loving the sinners but hating their sins, I just have no clue as to where I begin. © 2014 GuanaritoAuthor's Note
