Text me back

Text me back

A Poem by Taylor Sherman

All I ever wanted

Was for you to

Text me back…

Now here I am.

Full of tears, walking

Down a road

One oh so lonely

Unable to take the stress

So I walk on

And on

And on

Ignoring the real word

Forgetting to eat

Missing Sleep

Checking my phone

Every 30 seconds

Just hoping for a text back

Left alone

With only my mind

I realize

I am depressed

Lonely

Empty

Having spent the past

Four years

Loving you

While you never loved me back

Why wouldn’t you

Just text me back?
