Unfaithful

Unfaithful

A Poem by Taylor Sherman

My soul full

Of sorrow

One that rips apart

My barely beating heart

Knowing that

She was unfaithful

Was I not good enough?

Was I not the one for you?

Why take me on this

Heart aching

Heart breaking

Journey?

When all along you never

Loved me, lied, deceived

Was I just a moment of weakness?

Why?

Now you show up

A note on the door

After a night

Out with “friends”

“I loved you, gave you my all

I did my best to be perfect

I reformed, I changed my way of living

All for you to destroy me.

So goodbye…”

And upon opening

The door all that was there

Was a body

Swinging slowly.
