Every time I see you

Is like a bullet

Driving itself deep

Into my heart

I thought I could

Take the pain

I thought I could

Stay sane

It got to the point

Where I could

No longer bear

To hear your name

So I ran and ran

Deeper into my

Own heart I went

Barricading everyone

Sealing myself tight

With layers upon layers

Of fake personas

With a simple escape plan

Should they ever fall down
