My Heart

My Heart

A Poem by Taylor Sherman

The days are so cold
Now that you're gone
The nights grow old
As I listen to our song

I was your angel
And you were my
God send

My heart beats
To see your smile
Even if it is only
Every once in a while

The days
Now grown old
The nights
Especially cold

I still feel
Your body next to mine
As if
You were still here

The memories feel
Oh so real
As if
You're still here

My heart wants
What it wants
And what it wants
Is for you to want me
For you to love me
Even though I know it
Won't come true
I'll survive this pain

Until the day
I am 6 feet under
