RadioA Poem by Taylor ShermanIdk I wrote this at 4am but I like it.
Times running out
Listening to the radio Waiting for my favorite Tune Please hurry up Play the one song Before my time Runs out Running around The night Praying for the distraction Of my favorite song Giving up Turning the radio off Leaning back Staring at the sky Feeling blue Ready to call it quits When a tune Catches my ear The beat Of my favorite song My heart beats faster Dispelling the blue This is the tune That will save My life time and time Again Running towards it Seeking it out Searching all night Long Finding the tune Playing from the radio On the ground Next to a girl Looking over at me Not saying a word I sit down And relax As we let the song Wash away All our problems As the moon rises above Happiness ensues As we link hands Over our favorite song The only tune That has saved our Lives
