I believed in love

I believed in love

A Poem by Taylor Sherman

I used to believe
In a magical thing
That is called
Love

Now as I sit in the dark
Empty pill bottle in hand
Tears streaming
Down my face

I think back to
When I had this
Magical thing called
Love

And I realize how
It wasn't love that
I had but
Desire

Cravings for
Affection to fill
The hole in
My heart

With a silent prayer
I wish the pills take affect
To silence the river of
Blood

Pouring from the wound
I tore in my heart
By believing in
Love
