Pain

Pain

A Poem by Taylor Sherman

Numb
My heart is sick
The pain
Overwhelming

Deep inside
The cold spreads
In an outward
Radiation

Only to be
Countered
By the boiling
Heat of Pure rage

For being Lied to
Being used
Being just another
Escape from reality

Your mind
Threatens to riot
To send you into
An anger so

Violent
That you lash out
And when that
Anger cools

The depression
Once again
Radiates
Outwards from

Your
Heart
