Heartbreak

Heartbreak

A Poem by Taylor Sherman

He is her pain
Filling every memory
Haunting her life
Barely leaving her sane

He is her cyanide
Like a poison filling her veins
Her body aches for his affection
As if it were the cure

He is her death
Her mind
Her body
All shut down with his leaving

A ray of hope
Pierces her thoughts
Her depression
With the warm smile

Of someone worried
Who cares
Who was there
When he was not

He is her savior
