When I am MeA Poem by GrisloboMy first attempt at a love poem.. Lacking inspiration, I forced this out for a class assignment.
When I am deprived of your presence,
I see no shapes in clouds. When you wish I would not leave your side, My path is boomeranged. When we argue about minor things, The guilt binds like a vise. When you gently glide your palm on my cheek, Everything hazes, but nothing is more clear. When I feel your skin against my own, Our hearts collaborate the most beautiful tune. When we stroll about the streets at night, I free fall into the beautiful abyss of each iris. When a summer breeze flutters your bangs, I am swept away by the most docile of waves. When you are in my presence, I know just who I am. © 2013 GrisloboAuthor's Note
