a horrifying pictureA Poem by Grimshaw
Its mouth in a vertical position next to its nose in a tilted fashion
It looks as though its clothes had been sewn on with string and needle A lump almost ape like posture With chain tied around its body and at the end of it a distant disgusting twitching object. Not human, not animal and even less so beautiful. As I come within touching distance it turns around and leaves a cloud of dust behind it, running. 'Beauty does not lie in the beauty of the sketch but in the thought' it shrieks. then disintegrates into thin air. © 2014 Grimshaw |
