Monarch, i

Monarch, i

A Poem by Grimshaw
"

This is up to the reader.

"
I drift unnoticed

Elegantly,

With my plain pattern complexion.

Un-endangered

Unadventurous

Un-excitedly.

Wings tear against the sharp edges of the rough natural surface

Still I lift them
Plain and torn as they are

Proudly.

Still they carry me high,

Through the migration of my monotonous life.

And thankful I am.

Oooh I really like this piece! I found it really graceful and balletic. It was quite short, but really well written and everything flowed really well with the verbs you chose. I gave it a 90/100 ^^
