Breaking Heaven

Breaking Heaven

A Poem by Jason Ellis

Eternal pillars crumble before my eyes;

Boundless walls, decimated by my lies.

I take in a wisp of cloud as it delicately flies,

Amidst the pieces of God’s fallen fortress,

Plummeting from the skies.

I like the thought of something that's supposed to be so beautiful and so strong and mighty crumbling down. It kind of gives the realization that nothing is beyond being destroyed. Amazing job. :).

Good rhyme and rhythm. The expression and imagery is well done, vivid and striking.

"I take in a wisp of cloud as it delicately flies", brilliantly placed, as if you take a pause for a second to lightly look around at the chaos you've created, and then continue on your way with the destruction. Loved it
