Her EyesA Poem by Jason EllisFirst poem I remember writing.
When I look in her eyes,
Do you know what I see? A beautiful, young girl Just starin’ back at me. When I look in her eyes, Do you know what I feel? An impossible peace; How could I want to kill? When I look in her eyes, Everything is stopped. When I look in her eyes, Burdensome weight is dropped. Her eyes are two portals To worlds without sorrow; Each night I close my eyes, To see hers tomorrow.
