Chestnut eyes,

Pitch-black fur.

Floppy ears,

And paws that stir.

A kind heart,

One I trust.

A loving soul,

Who's never fussed.

Loyalty, affection,

Courage, and more.

Just a few reasons,

Why him, I adore.

Friend, companion,

Ally, pal.

That is why,

Love him, I shall.

I love the dog much than a write ...lol (just kidding) yes, the dog is very nice and even love such kinda smooth and silky hairy dogs.
This write reminds about friendship if humans with animals somehow, your imaginary's great here and i loved the theme that you've had to write.

If I may offer a suggestion or two that would help with the flow of the piece:

If you change "One I'm able to trust" to "One I trust"

"One who's never fussed" to "Who's never fussed"

"Merely a few reasons" to "Just a few reasons"

Other than that, it's a warm and affectionate poem. i enjoyed reading it. :)
