I imagined a woman looking at her self in the mirror by the end of the poem. The last two stanzas made me think she was looking at herself in the mirror and realizing that she was actually that person. I take it that maybe you meant that both women were equals though, and that is what the jealous woman realizes. Am I somewhere in the ball park with that analysis?
That was a beautiful poem! It hooked me when I began reading it. It was very rhythmic, and had a peaceful tone by the end. It made me happy even with outside being so gloomy.
I think Clockwork nailed it. I also had a vision of a mirror. The type of full length mirrors sometimes seen at the end of a hallway in old houses. Reading it I was reminded of the Burns quote - "Had we the grace to see ourselves as others see us".
