A Story by Grey and Blue

You hold me near as the wind breaks against the water, sending ripples of brown and some of the satin blue sky swirling and dancing.
I love you I think, but I'm afraid to whisper the words, or to think them too loudly, in fear you'd hear them bursting through my lips or brain.

You look at me and I assume you're going to take off, but you stop, pause and smile. With your entire body, you hug me close and I have so many things to say, so many things to think. However, you pause them;

"No more of those bad thoughts, okay?" And you give me a squeeze, kiss my forehead, and just when I think it's safe to turn around, you whisper "I love you." before you're gone.
