Chapter 4: Interference

A Chapter by Grey Ezra

CHAPTER IV

INTERFERENCE

From one of the tunnels emerged a huge man with pale green, thick skin, standing 20 feet tall and with a massive club and a brown cloth covering his waist.

With three fingers and three toes. This was a basic, simple creature, known as a Orcish Troll, do to him being a troll mixed with some features of a orc, it is a hybrid of these two creatures. The Troll roared and shook the ground. he charged with club in hand ready to strike the children.

The children were shocked. Panicked they started running away. Realizing they were in a chamber in a room, they ran in a circle, screaming and flailing their arms.

The Master puts his head in his hands and says, "Attack the damn thing!"

The children get against a corner, scared, ready for death. Grey Ezra hears The Master, as well as the other kids and gets determined. The troll slowly approached them and their impending doom. The children are ready. The troll has them trapped and when he swings his club, White Ezra shouts, "NOW!"

In one fluid, synchronized motion; they run towards the beast and do roll through his legs. On his backside, the children start attacking; Grey Ezra with simple element projectiles, such as rocks, fire, and water blasts. White Ezra shoots the troll and aims for joints, making it hurt when he moves; Black Ezra taking big, heavy, strikes at his leg. Rainbow Arze wrapped his whip around a rock on the ceiling, swung himself up, whipped the orcish troll head.

The Master was pleased with how well they countered the attack. With that in mind, he thought they could handle more, "Hey, Tiki Bison." The troll looked over. "Get more...physical." With that, the troll nodded. Suddenly the beast's rear extended and two more legs grew from it, and his arms split into four arms the same size to his old arms, almost appearing as four armed centaur.

Grey Ezra shouted at The Master, "Don’t make it harder!" The old man responded with a light chuckle. But the children knew what to do with any four legged creature, for they fought many in the woods. They all hopped on its back and attacked the spot where the legs met the lower body, the "corner" of his body, if you would, though with his orc-like skin, it didn’t do much damage. Surprised, the creature tried to reach the children, but failed. He tried running around to knock them off, but the four kids held on. The troll stopped and his back started getting hot, really hot. His back started bubbling. Worried by what was happening, they all

jumped off his back. The orc troll hybrid shot lava out of his back. The kids easily dodged it, for what the beast had in power it lacked in speed, and he was slow. As lava spewed from his back, they decided to take shelter underneath him. They all attack his vulnerable and weak underbelly.

The troll is surprised and starts shrinking, his skin becoming less leathery and more furry, his color turning from a green color to a brown. The four arms shrink to nothing and feet turn to hoofs. smaller and smaller the creature shrinks until a small furry critter is floating in front of them.

"Good job, guys," the beast says in front of them. It was Tiki Bison. Though it wasn’t really a surprise to know, due to The master calling for him and a monster appeared.

CLAP CLAP CLAP, "Well done your father trained you well," The Master said, "Very good. But, I told Tiki Bison to go easy on you."

Suddenly the old mans body flickered in to a dark form then back again.

"I've grown impatient," Tiki Bison said in a deep, rumbling voice. Tiki Bison's started growing and twisting as the cave walls started expanding and melting. Tiki Bison's body started turning green and his eyes disappeared. A crack appeared in his mask and his leg looked mauled and bent how it shouldn’t.

The children, horrified with what was happening, stood there in shock and fear. The Master transformed in to a mass of dark ooze that flew over the children’s head to Tiki Bison and turned back into the old man they knew. He grabbed Tiki Bison's mask like face by the crack and ripped it open while smiling a menacing an uneasy smile at them. The rotting, deformed buffalo let out an ear splitting scream and a intense green light escaped the crack. The Master kept tearing apart the rotting screaming bison and stopped when he ripped through his face. Tiki Bison's voice cried in a raspy voice that didn’t sound like his, “please stop I didn’t mean it.” The Master's face remained smiling at the kids. With a single smooth move, he tore Tiki Bison in half with a disgusting sound of ripping flesh and snapping bones. Holding his top have in one hand and his bottom in another; strings and tubes still connected, some dangling, from either side. Fluid leaked from frayed tubes, a dull yellow fluid. The Master said, “Now it's your turn.”

The man grew into a large mass of green flesh, covered in a pattern of black holes that looked like screaming faces with no eyes or teeth. His arms were long and frail. His legs were gone and replaced by a large set of stubby tentacles. The grotusk mass snapped his fingers, like The Master, and a mirror appeared in front of the kids. They saw 4 children, frightened, staring back at them. Suddenly they saw the themselves melting in the mirror, but not downward, outward. Their skin, their organs, their body’s expanding  outward like a liquid; as if an explosion happened in the center of their body.

They realized the mirror wasn’t lying when they we’re hit with random limbs and pink tubes, for when they tried to move it distorted the liquid’s path. Then gravity decided it didn’t like this and they all turned in to beige, pink and purple puddles. Their heads franticly pivoting in this puddle that they once knew as a body.

The green mass of flesh pushed his hands together and the puddles seeped towards each other. His tentacles extended and picked up their heads. The children watched as the puddles became one and started climbing into a mass of flesh that formed a stocky body. He shoved the heads of the disembodied kids in to the flesh where all they felt was a overwhelming pressure the new body gave them and pain whenever they moved. It would be weird too if you felt your hand from the bottom of your foot, next to your stomach, and your upper lip at the same time. The kids, in agonizing pain, heard a message

Its to late there in my brain,

They have made me go insane,

I feel myself slipping down a drain,

This is my life, this is my pain

And with that, the kids fell asleep and woke up in the circular chamber; The Master and Tiki Bison looking at them with big eyes holding much fear, and anxiety.

The kids looked around, relieved they were not what they were, and surprised they were awoken in the chamber and everything was ok.

A sigh comes from The Master, "I thought I lost you for a second, But I'm glad your safe." His voice the old weak voice they knew.

The kids stared at Tiki Bison, who was in a daze of what happened. Who can blame him, He didn’t see what happened there. I saw, I was dazed and a tad surprised. "I'm sorry you had to go through that," The Master said, sad with his head tilted down shaking his head.

"What..." Grey Ezra started then looked at his hands and the room around them. They all did something like that. They were scared, Who wouldn’t be after that? "Your...Alive," started Black Ezra, then finished by White Ezra. "But...How?" said Rainbow Arze.

Tiki Bison was confused and a little scared. The Master said, "I can answer that. What just happened was I 'took' you the Spiritual Realm for some training. Your physical bodies were here but immobilized do to you transcending realms, in a sense. You didn’t actually go anywhere, you just saw the world from the spiritual perspective. Your always there, but you only perceive one at a time, you feel all of them all the time, like mind trick or spiritual magic that affect you."

"So why the HELL did you make us go through...THAT!?" Stammered Black Ezra, furious.

“I didn’t, I made you fight the troll.” The Master sighs again, “I can't believe he's doing it this soon.”

“Who?” asked Tiki Bison

“You know damn well who,” said The Master, stressed and angry, “We need to get them out of here. They did awesome against you as a troll.” He smiles at him

Tiki Bison rubs his as he floats around like he’s going down a invisible river flowing through the air “Ya they did.” Tiki Bison wines.

They all give a chuckle and the children understand that there not ready to know what happened, but know they can still help. “What do we do now?” they asked in agreement.

“You need to train on your own become adventurers. Tiki Bison will come with you and in time we'll meet again, in person that is. I’ll see you in your dreams. Take time today to explore the kingdom. You leave in one week's time. I will train you and mentor you till then.” The Master said in his shriveled deep, yet very serious voice. “But let’s make that one week from tomorrow. You have much to learn before your ready to take on this world. Now go, and come back at sundown. Tiki Bison,” the bison looks at him in confusion, “Go with them, make sure they don’t get in trouble.” Tiki Bison stands on his hind legs in mid-air and salutes the elder who instructed him.
