Chapter 1: A world without answersA Chapter by Grey EzraCHAPTER I A WORLD WITHOUT ANSWERS Today was like every other day, after they finished breakfast, they went into the forest to hunt, search for herbs, and play. The Father stayed at home and tended the house, as usual. I, of course, did helped the father, for I never left his side. But the children went out and played. They climbed trees, and pretended to fight 1 another. They were out for hours deep in the woods and, that day fought many fearsome creatures to the death. After some time has past, they saw a shining yellowish lump on the ground. They found a hefty amount of gold. "Guys, what is it?" White Ezra responded "It sure is pretty looking." Black Ezra reacted by hitting it with a nearby log. Grey Ezra suggested "We should show father this." Despite the children's extreme differences they All showed an extreme bond that some would say is impossible to achieve. They all thought Grey Ezra's idea to show Father the lump to see if he knew what it was. So they picked up the lump and proceeded to bring it home, witch, from there current position, would take about an hour to get there. When they were a minute away from the house they heard a loud crash. The children, concerned, started running to the house. When their house was in view, they saw that what used to be there house is now a pile of rubble and fire. On the pile of rubble, they saw there father, laying bloodily on the ground. The children quickly ran to the flaming ruins, that they once knew as their house, to seek their father. They approach the house; the sun leaving the scene. Their father laying on the ruins when they see a figure in black and men in full suits of armor with giant catapults. Ignoring the mysterious men, they run to their batter father he has bruises and broken legs and swelling in his left cheek. The boys run and Grey Ezra holds his father, tears running down the children's eyes. They asked what happened to him. I knew what happened, I remember it well. Their father looks up with disbelief and says, "look what you have. I can't believe it." he snickers, "look how grown up you've become." His chest ripples like water and dissipates. The children look up at the hooded figure and say what happened. The figures robes were a purplish black and concealed every ounce of his body. He was shocked. I was not. I knew they could do it. That’s what they trained for. The robed man, furious, started to shout "There taking him with them, stop those kids." shocked they started running. Some guards followed, some guards started firing the catapults. The guards gave chase, but didn’t make it far before they died. Some started spurting blood from their chest, some just fell, others seemed to feel extreme pain in their arm or leg as it dripped blood. The children were confused at this sight, but as soon as the catapults started firing they started to run again. They felt a presence that they couldn’t forget among them. I was shocked when this happened. They felt their father. Nine people fled that scene; while some did not notice the others appearance. Giant fiery boulders hurtled at them. They all saw a boulder hurtling straight toward them; seconds before it hit them it exploded. The Children were shocked at this. They knew someone was helping them. They heard their father's voice say "Go to the kingdom, you will meet a man called 'The Master'. He is a good friend of mine. I love you." They stopped, tired, sad, depressed. They rested, confused at what happened. Everyone was asking questions. What happened? Who was that? What is happening. They wanted to know what was happening. They took their father's advice. Thus, the children proceeded to the kingdom with only the clothes on their back and the makeshift weapons they made; hoping to get the help they need. © 2016 Grey Ezra |
