BoundaryA Poem by Rogue DaffodilFor one too sweet for this world.Boundary
I was a girl, just barely fifteen You came and sat down beside me So attentive, so charming Your touch made me shiver Your eyes were dark and disarming
I remember that smile How your tongue darted out Just before claiming my lips You were a man of nineteen years And I, prey caught in your grip
Then, everything spiraled The world fell away I was yours and you could have had me But you stopped, and I thanked you For you were a man, too gentle to break through that boundary
Time passed and we grew I saw you again Many times in those turbulent years Your arms were so strong, your kisses so light When I cried and poured out my fears
But it wasn’t until I was truly a woman That your heat fell upon me again The seduction was simple One touch, one kiss, then I was your lover and friend
I think fondly back My memories rising To greet me today and tomorrow I miss you, beloved, I hope you are well In that place that I can not follow
Be good with the Angels Don’t drive too fast On those long winding roads in the Heavens Speed was your downfall, and you better believe I’ll scold you next time we’re together
Now I must say farewell My dark, honest Prince Our time, though brief, I will treasure Always remember the joy that we shared And that I love you... forever and ever
