Her

Her

A Poem by Rogue Daffodil
"

Who I was, versus who I am.

"

Her

I am not supposed to fear you,
but I do
You look at me with angry eyes because I said what you did not want to hear
The words I uttered were the truth,
every syllable
But you wanted me to be something else,
so I shut my mouth
Because I love you
I shut my eyes
and smiled,
even though I wanted to scream
"Let go of me! You do not know who I am!"
But those words never come
I think you wanted to know,
long ago
May even have known who I used to be
But I am not "her" anymore

Exactly
I believe the repressive spirit
is prideful control
You pin pointed the meaning
Very nicely
this writing speaks the heart
like an open book
Passionately Expressed with truth
