Farewell

I will never hold your hand again. I will never see you smile

I will never hear your lilting voice singing to my child

Her eyes are so much like yours, brown and dark and knowing

Her wisdom is a gift from life that every day is growing

I love her as I love you. It still surprises me,

that even though you've gone away, a part of you is here to stay

My daughter is my future, and now you are my past

Time can separate us. I know our love will last.

Through days, and months, and the many years that will come and go,

my memories will carry me through rain and hail and snow

For yours is the strength I feel, when the wind blows cold and the days grow dark

And yours is the blood that flows, through our kindred veins and our broken hearts

When that time comes as I breathe my last and I go to meet my end,

I know that you will come for me, my Mother, my teacher, my friend.

this is very touching, beautifully eexpressed, a loving tribute to your mother, my deepest regards
extend to your loss, theheart can feel the special admiration held within the words dearly expressed
with loving, sentimental value, as each carefully chosen sentence reflects your thoughts with passion
and undertsanding in way remebering the one close to your soul, and seeing how your mother still inspires,
your poem flows with a feeling of hope, as well as encouraging artfulness, very well done, thank you
