Hearts battlefield

Hearts battlefield

A Poem by Battlecry

Taken from the depths of time
Historically manmade
I stand here on this battlefield
Ready for the grave I've made

Bloodshed darkens up the mind
Shadows lay their siege
Taking in your heart and then
Filling it with greed

Grasping at straws
Grasping at strings
Grasping at threads
To find what it means

Grasping at the rubble that lay at my feet
What went wrong with me?

We lost the battle but not the war
Hold up your guns and raise your swords

We lost the battle but not the war!
Ready and aim for the heart nextdoor~

Ready and aim for the heart nextdoor!~

I adore the fact that I can knit together a blanket of emotions using nothing more than an object to write with and my own mind. Music and passion are what drives my soul to ignite. To be the best.. more..
