Chamber

Chamber

A Poem by Battlecry
"

A short poem type thing I wrote just because.

"

I’m in a bind I’ve yet to find a place to calm my inner mind

Glossy ceilings hanging over mossy flooring deep inside

Pitch dark surrounding never sounding any sense to cause alarm

Diving forward ever onward losing all sense; a calamity

It’s a sense of rush a sense of dashing dangerously towards no return

Breaking point reaching levels of madness now it’s time to lose control

Truth is lost among the living among the future among the blind

Diverting attention towards a howling the source is from two bright red eyes

Head is pounding spinning round me forgetting who I am and was

Colors twirling life is surely ever changing; not so good

Blasted back by a booming sound breaking down all things inbound

I bounce back up and breathe broken glass lost inside the emptiness

Shattered laughter rings inside my head and echoes on throughout

Spinning down this downward spiral lost among so many words

I’m in a bind I’ve yet to find a place to calm my inner mind

I really like the rhythm in the first and last lines. I think it would be cool if you incorporated that same rhythm in the rest of the poem, but I know that not many people like doing that in their poems. Either way, I really like those lines. They kind of remind me of the song 'Hurricane' by MSMR:)
