The Reaper of the King

The Reaper of the King

A Poem by Battlecry
"

Short poem I wrote about a grim reaper taking the soul of a foolish king. (From The Kings Folly)

"

My job, as a reaper, is to evaluate your life

What you've done, where you’ll end up

But you’re a rather sorry sight

My records here say that you were a rather selfish king

The next page says that you have even cheated on your queen

And the list continues with needless death just all about

Here and there a minor act of kindness seems to sprout

Now I’m here to reap all of the seeds of which you sowed

Judgment days upon you, I’ll make you pay all that you owe

I’m sending you off to hell for all the hearts that you have stained

Say hello to Satan for me, I hope he doesn't cause you too much pain…
